Drawing, painting, ‘making things’ have always been part of my life. I worked as a designer of sets and costumes in the professional theatre for many years, following further education in Manchester and Bristol studying Fashion/Textiles, then Stage Design. I came to York in the late 1980’s to join the new Heritage industry as a costume researcher and designer. I now work from my studio in York making paintings and prints.
